Just three weeks to go

Before i say anything else, it is so sad for the families & friends of the Elim school students who were lost in the awful tragedy.  One girl from the Trinity girls group we part of that group but was one of the three that made it out alive.  Wow, I am sure God has a purpose in all of this.  Praying so hard for those affected.  Exciting to see how Elim College is dealing so well with it and being a great witness for Christ in the midst of the heartache.

So… after flying visit to Christchurch, moving out of home, trying to find room at the in laws to fit all our stuff, I have had a couple of days to relax – sort of… What do you need to do before moving country? When should i start to think about packing the suitcases? How much stuff do i take? Should I cancel all our memberships and subscriptions? Need to organise a will (now is a good time to be nice to me if you want any of my stuff!), power of attorney, see the dentist, hairdresser, doctor (to get drugs for the kids to send them off to lala land on the flight!)

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. And then i have to get my head around actually having to say goodbye to all our beautiful family and friends. That will be tough.

Anyway, here are some photos of the beautiful people I hung out with in Christchurch!

The ‘no stress’ solution to moving house!

Do you know that moving house is supposed to be more stressful than performing open heart surgery? I can see that it probably true. But… I have the solution! Yes, you go away for 3 days and get your husband to do it all! That’s what I am doing. Off to Christchurch to visit my good friend Louise and leaving poor Dan to do all the moving (well, I have done most of the packing). Quite cool really. Thanks Daniel.

Our new tenants move in this Saturday and we are staying with Dan’s parents for the four weeks we have left in this country. Exciting times.
